Rosswag forges bell clappers for the biggest bell in the Altenburg Monastery

During a fire at the tower in 1820, the big bell of the Altenburg Monastery was destroyed.

After 20 years and with the support of the Robert Sonnleithner Foundation, it is possible to completely replace the bell.

The bell clapper was forged out of special steel RWK100, following by mechanical processing.

The bell ”Gloriosa” of the Altenburg Monastery was consacrated and then mounted during a celebration in mid October.

We are thankful that our Managing Director Dr. Sven Donisi, our Senior Partner Karlheinz Essig and part of our staff were invited to the celebration.
